Response to "The Nature of Information"

It was very interesting to learn the origin of the word information.

It is derived from the Latin word informare, meaning "to give form,

shape, or character to". The typology of signs: icons, indices, and symbols,

which were defined by Charles Sanders clarified that they where all different

forms of representation of objects (see table below).

I have learnt a lot from "The Nature of Information" and it was a very

good read. I recommend it to anyone interested in learning about "The Nature

of representation". You will find ithere .

"Library of Babel" Response.

After a lot of concentration and rereading, unfortunately, the article "Library of Babel" is still not clear to me. It is quite confusing what the author is attempting to inform. Hopefully we discuss the details of it in class.
