It was very interesting to learn the origin of the word information.
It is derived from the Latin word informare, meaning "to give form,
shape, or character to". The typology of signs: icons, indices, and symbols,
which were defined by Charles Sanders clarified that they where all different
forms of representation of objects (see table below).
